Katie joined Plan International Ireland in February 2022 after a short stint with a creative and PR agency before returning to the sector. Katie has over five years of experience in communications with NGO's, as well as in fundraising, project management, journalism, and editorial styling. She holds a MA in Journalism and Media Communications, specialising in radio. Before that, the Dublin native studied a BA in Contemporary Culture and Society at DCU. There, her focus was on women's studies, completing a thesis in female body modification and the male gaze. Prior to finding a career in non-profit communications, Katie worked in national radio. Her interests are in current affairs, social issues, art, travelling and playing with her Staffie Nala!
